-
How long should I wait on a reply from my adoption application?- Due to the volume we receive and the small amount of volunteers who process them please allow 7-14 days for a response to your application.
-
What do you look for in an application?- Your reason for wanting to adopt. - Level of care of current pets and veterinary references. Please have references and records ready to enable quicker processing times. - Responsible devoted homes prepared for a lifelong commitment.
-
What does my adoption fee cover?- Adoption fees help us recuperate just SOME of the money we spend on our animals. Every SPACAR dog and cat is screened for heartworms/tick/infectious diseases, vaccinated, dewormed, started on preventatives and spayed/neutered. All dogs are microchipped and cats can be for $10 extra. Your adoption fee also helps us save other dogs and cats with illnesses and injuries that can be costly.
-
Will I know if I'm not the selected applicant for an animal?- Intake coordinators try to notify each applicant on their application status as quickly as possible. If you have not heard anything after 14 days please follow-up! - Be sure your email address and phone number are correct. We typically respond by email!
