Found a pet?

*Check for ID with personal information and notify owner*

If no information then:

1. Take to the nearest vet to be scanned for a microchip.

2. Take a clear photo and post it on Nextdoor, Petco Love Lost, social media,
and that area's local Facebook groups eg. 
Midtown Tulsa Lost and Found Pets, Jenks and South Tulsa, Skiatook Lost and Found Pets.

3. Check/notify all local vets, rescues, and animal controls. 

4. Legal stray hold is 72 hours, after valid attempts to find owner. 


If no success then consider:

5.  If you find an animal and cannot keep it contact local animal control, they are open to animals found within that city's limit. 
6.  If it's after hours make sure you can keep the animal until local animal control is open. 


If no success:

7.  Fill out SPACAR's intake form on our website for consideration.
8.  Contact other local area rescues and breed specific rescues.

Community Outreach Programs

SPACAR Programs

  • Pet Food Pantry - SPACAR passes out limited amounts of dog and cat food the 1st Tuesday of every month from 6pm-8pm.

  • Free ID tags - message us for an appointment to get a tag made!

  • $20 microchips - offered every month during Pet Food Pantry

  • We host 3 low cost vaccine clinics a year, and several low cost spay/neuter clinics. These are announced closer to each event time.
