Fostering fulfills a crucial part of SPACAR's life-saving work, not to mention it can be an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding experiences. Foster terms can range from a week to several months depending on the animal and the amount of networking (via photos/updates you send us). SPACAR provides you with everything you need to properly care for the dog or cat while it's in your care.

If you are able to open your heart to an animal in need but aren't ready for the commitment, fostering is for you!

SPACAR provides each animal the following while in your care:

  • All vet care, including but not limited to, all vaccines, spay/neuter, heartworm check, fecal check, deworming, and microchipping.

  • A crate to be used while the foster animal is in your care.

  • Food for foster animal while in your care.

  • Leash, collar, and ID tag.
